This was the 1st LWG Certification Audit for Vinit Gloves Manufacturing Private Limited. The Company is a Finished Leather Manufacturing Unit located in Unnao Industrial Area of Uttar Pradesh, India. Rahman Industries Limited is a Group Company of Rahman Group which is a conglomeration of several companies engaged in Manufacturing and Export of Finished Leather, Footwear, Furniture and other Leather Products. The Group consists of various firms, all engaged in the Marketing and Distribution of Leather and Leather Products. Rahman Group started its operation in 1981 in the name of Allahbad Tannery, which was converted into a company named Allahdad Tannery Private Limited in 2007 and further amalgamated into Rahman Industries Limited in 2009. RIL sources primarily Buffalo Hide, Sheep & Goat Skin from Government Registered Slaughter Houses and Wetblue from LWG Certified Tanneries & Traders. Rahman Industries Limited has achieved ISO 14001:2015 Certification for their Leather Manufacturing & Footwear Manufacturing Divisions. RIL is discharging its Trade Effluent after Inhouse Primary, Secondary & Tertiary Treatment to the River Ganges through a Network of UPPCB Monitored Canals. The Tannery's Internal Effluent Treatment Plant is approved by the Local Pollution Authority and is being operated & monitored by the Tannery Staff with periodic Third Party Testing by ISO 17025:2018 Accredited Laboratories or UPPCB Accredited Environmental Testing Laboratories.
